Grounds & Services Limited (GSL) is based in Hornby, Christchurch and has been providing landscape, grounds maintenance, civil construction and roading maintenance services for the past 25 years.
Our Open Spaces division has a long-established reputation for providing a diverse range of services, including ground spraying, pest plant control, soft landscaping, hydro seeding, sports turf development and maintenance, roadside and specialist mowing and native habitat restoration. GSL primarily operates in the Canterbury area, with existing grounds maintenance, civil construction, landscaping and gardening contracts extending from the Kaikoura Coast in the North to the Waitaki River in the South and West to the Southern Alps.
Our teams take pride and are passionate about the work they do and the environments they enhance and maintain. These environments are varied and could be sports fields, highway roadsides, urban or coastal parks, schools, large scale civil construction projects or private residences. We also partner with community groups to restore their local park as a native wilderness.
Our team of horticulturists, registered chemical applicators and grounds maintenance specialists have the expertise and experience to train, guide and assess the necessary competencies for anyone passionate about entering this industry and who has a willingness to learn. Business is booming and we are currently in another growth spurt. You will have the ability to gel with our team and be prepared to get stuck in and complete whatever tasks are required. You will enjoy being physically active during the day as the role involves activities such as weedeating, knapsack spraying and planting.
