Eastman Wetlands Stage 1

Eastman Wetlands Stage 1

With significant levels of residential development taking place near Halswell, creating a best-practice stormwater treatment and flood management area was a critical element of Christchurch City Council's strategy to improve enviornmental outcomes and quality of service to the Christchurch community. Grounds & Services Ltd was engaged to construct a large-scale wetland on Eastman Road.

Timing was critical on this project, with large earthworks required to be completed before a change in seasons made work impossible. GSL's comprehensive project planning processes were instrumental in staging works to meet the demanding 16 week programme, delivering all works on or before Council deadlines.
